The first step in fault finding any computer equipment is to reboot it (or power off and back on in the case of printers, modems, hubs, etc). The first question tech support staff will ask you, after you tell them the problem, will usually be, "Have you rebooted it?" Please remember that a Windows® computer must be shut down in a proper manner before it is rebooted. The second question will be, "Exactly what was the error message?" Please write it down before placing a call.
